The UNC Symphony Orchestra (Tonu Kalam, music director) is joined by UNC voice Professor Louise Toppin for performances of R. Strauss’s Three Brentano Lieder and Braunfels’ Prelude and Prologue of the Nightingale from Die Vögel in addition to the Bach-Walton Suite from The Wise Virgins and Copland’s Suite from The Tender Land. Part of the UNC Department of Music’s Scholarship Benefit Series, with all proceeds going to music scholarships at UNC. Individual general admission tickets ($15; $10 UNC students, faculty, and staff) are available at the door.
