The Richard M Krasno Distinguished Professorship at UNC-Chapel Hill would like to invite you to a talk, discussion, and Q and A session with Prof. Robbert Dijkgraaf (Director of the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, NJ and the Leon Levy Professor of Mathematical Physics) on Thursday, September 14,  2017, 5.30pm in the Pleasants Family Room, Wilson Library.

Robbert Dijkgraaf will talk about “The Usefulness of Useless Knowledge.”

Following the talk Prof. J. Christopher Clemens (Senior Associate Dean for Natural Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Physics and Astronomy) and Prof. Klaus Larres (Richard M Krasno Distinguished Professor) will engage Prof. Dijkgraaf in a lively discussion.
