Tours are designed to share the stories, landmarks, traditions and student life of the oldest public, state supported University in the nation. Walking tours last about an hour and are led by enthusiastic student guides with a wealth of knowledge of Carolina.
Tours begin at UNC Visitors’ Center, located inside the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, at 250 East Franklin Street. Our entrance is on the west side of the building with large columns and blue welcome banners flanking the door. Parking may be available either in the Morehead Lot right outside or on Franklin Street or in the downtown public lots (1-2 blocks away).
