The Visitors’ Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will offer the Black and Blue Tour, a special Priceless Gem tour for the public, on Friday, February 21.  Tours in the “Priceless Gem Series” (which takes its name from a line in the UNC alma mater “Hark the Sound”) are led by University experts on various topics of interest.  Tim McMillian, a highly regarded historian, award-winning teaching professor, and senior lecturer in the Department of African-American and Diaspora Studies, will lead this tour of UNC’s historical landmarks in context of UNC’s racial history.  The Black and Blue Tour will last 1-1.5 hours and begin at 3 p.m. from UNC Visitors’ Center, located inside Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, 250 E. Franklin St.  Reservations are encouraged but not mandatory.

Tours are free and open to the public. Please do check with UNC Visitors’ Center in case of inclement weather.  919-962-1630 or email mjfox@unc.edu.
